Wills’s “Football Series” 1902

Known as “The First Great Centre Forward”, Gilber Oswald Smith plied the majority his trade for Corinthians between 1892-1903, where he netted an astonishing 132 goals in 137 games. He then moved to Casuals for one season, scoring 42 in 29. He also made 20 appearances for England, scoring another 11 goals.
Not too bad for a fella who suffered from asthma.
