Teasdale & Co Ltd

Teasdale & Co was a confectionery & chocolate producer based in Carlisle, England. The company was founded in 1839 by a Thomas Holstead, though in 1872 the company name changed to Isaac Teasdale, and was later incorporated as Teasdale & Co Ltd in 1898. The company continued to trade until 1963 at which time it was taken over by J. Harradine & Sons Ltd.
Isaac Teasdale died in 1914 aged 70, and is buried in Carlisle’s Richardson Street Cemetery.
There are 4 known card sets produced by Teasdale, 3 football related and 1 related to The Great War.

Cards are black and white to the front, and blank to the rear. The cards are “numbered” 26-50 on the basis the images are the same as those on cards 26-50 of the Gallaher Footballers Series of 100 cards.
