A pair of original snapshot photographs depicting Suzanne Lenglen and Frank Fisher, both authenticated and encapsulated by PSA/DNA as Type I originals dating to c.1920s.

Suzanne Lenglen was the dominant force in women’s tennis from 1919 to 1926, winning six Wimbledon singles titles, six French Championships, and Olympic gold at Antwerp in 1920. Known as “La Divine,” she lost only one match in eight years, compiling a record of 341 victories against just seven defeats. She was the first female athlete to become a global celebrity and revolutionised both women’s tennis and sportswear, working with couturier Jean Patou to pioneer the modern athletic silhouette.

Frank Fisher (1877–1960) was a New Zealander of remarkable breadth: son of a Member of Parliament, captain in the 10th New Zealand Contingent during the Boer War, Member of Parliament for Wellington Central, and internationally competitive tennis player. He reached the final of the Australasian Open in 1906, the semi-finals at Wimbledon in doubles in 1919, and won the World Covered Court Championships mixed doubles in 1920. He competed at Wimbledon in 1920, 1922, and 1923.

The first photograph (certification 85439701) shows Lenglen and Fisher standing together at the net in an informal courtside setting. The second (certification 85439916) is a more candid image with Fisher in the foreground holding a racquet and Lenglen visible behind. The reverse of the second photograph carries a pencilled notation — “1 of 1” — consistent with cataloguing from a personal album or private collection.
